To get to Zoo Negara by public transport, the most popular route is taking the LRT Kelana Jaya Line to Wangsa Maju Station. From there, you can either take Rapid KL Bus 253 or a short e-hailing ride to the zoo's main entrance.

The easiest step-by-step route:

1. By Train (LRT)

• Route: Take the Kelana Jaya Line and alight at the Wangsa Maju LRT Station.

2. The Last Mile (Bus vs. E-Hailing)

• Option A (Bus): Exit the station and transfer to Rapid KL Bus 253 or Bus 220, which stops at Komersial Melawati/Zoo Negara. The bus ride takes about 15–20 minutes and costs around RM 1–RM 5.
• Option B (E-hailing/Taxi): If you prefer not to wait for the bus, it is highly recommended to use the Grab App or a local taxi from Wangsa Maju Station. It is a quick ~10-minute drive and typically costs around RM 8–RM 10 depending on traffic.
