Malayan Tiger Breeding in Captivity Programme (MyBIT)
Strategic Initiative: A conservation programme dedicated to breed, manage and increase the population of Malayan Tigers (Panthera tigris jacksoni) in captivity, in collaboration with the Department of Wildlife & National Parks of Peninsular Malaysia (PERHILITAN).
Objective: To increase the captive population of Malayan Tigers for conservation purposes and potential reintroduction into the wild.
Expert Supervision: The breeding process is closely monitored by Zoo Negara staff and PERHILITAN experts to ensure the safety, welfare and health of the tigers at all times.

Giant Panda International Conservation Cooperation Project
Since the arrival of Fu Wa (Xing Xing) and Feng Yi (Liang Liang) in 2014, the programme has received global success, highlighted by the birth of three cubs: Nuan Nuan (2015), Yi Yi (2018), and Sheng Yi (2021).
The arrival of a new pair of Giant Pandas, Chen Xing and Xiao Yue, will continue this conservation legacy, ensuring the ongoing protection and study of this iconic species.
