White Bengal Tiger (Panthera tigris tigris)

Two female and a male white Bengal tigers (Panthera tigris tigris) from India finally arrived safely at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport on 15 June 2013 after a month of delay due to the unavoidable cyclones in the country. This is an animal-exchange programme between Indira Ghandi Zoological Park, Visakhapatnam and Zoo Negara Malaysia.

These tigers made their first public display on 8 August 2013.

Tigers are solitary animal. Only mother and cubs live together in a group for

2 years. Please note that not all the three tigers will be on display in the same exhibit as these cats are very territorial.

Catch a glimpse of the white tigers at Big Cat trail between 11 am and 4 pm daily.
